A few months ago, Aniefiok Ekpoudom was in conversation with Caleb Azumah Nelson @ Liberia Bookshop and I asked Caleb Azumah Nelson - If your books were part of the secondary English curriculum what would you want students to get from it? This is what he said #literature #blacklit #englishteacher #english #diversity #ethnicminority #disadvantagedyouth #disadvantagedcommunities #british #literature #educators #education #representationinbooks #britishliterature #educators #education #diversity #diversitymatters #diversityisbeautiful

#article #EnglishcontentLearn English, because English will help you overcome discrimination Elites in Bangladesh, see that their children know English, they move forward. They set narratives as convenient as they are. Many Atels will tell you stories of fake patriotism. Azaira will tell the story of Chetna. don't listen Be it wrong, try to say. Look at developed countries, this problem is not obvious, because they do not face a big crisis for language even if they fall into economic inequality, class discrimination.Learning English in Bangladesh will break many syndicates. Will give economic freedom. Look at the negative attitude towards the English medium who - won't stand the test. If you don't speak English, you can't counter the lies of the people in the consciousness. If you are from a middle class family and can speak English, many opportunities are waiting for you. Some will laugh at you. don't care They will say this because they fear you will be ahead of the elite. Learning English will advance you. Calcutta has advanced. I think the middle class of Calcutta speaks or writes much purer English than Bangladesh. Many madrasa students in Bangladesh are now learning English. If you are wealthy, then teach your child English because it will help your child to cope with the big city. If you are a busy person like me, then teach your child English, so that they can lead & read the future. Bring pure Bengali literature into your home.©️ CollectedFor those who really want to learn English, do the record course on my black cover book+ from scratc
